Why should I Be Baptized?

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.

Romans: 6:3

“Or do you not know that as many of us were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t want to join a church right now; it’s too many hypocrites in the church!

There are hypocrites everywhere, and it doesn’t make it all right. However, we must not allow anyone to keep us from serving and fellowshipping in our Fathers house. We must view the church in the same way we view the hospital. We go to the hospital when we are sick or in need of medicine. This is the same thing we should do when we come to the house of the Lord. We should not expect everyone or even ourselves to be completely healed. We are all a work in progress. So come on out and get your daily dose of spiritual medicine.
